Steve Kim has taught music since 1974. He is associate music faculty at Shoreline Community College , and teaches privately in Seattle, WA .  He has served on the faculty of Pacific Luthern University, The National Guitar Workshop, The Experience Music Project, The Bill Evans Summer Institute Of Dance,  Musicworks Northwest, Arts In Motion, and The Roberts Music Institute .

Steve draws upon his experience as a music performer , an educator, and as a student (of bassists Ray Brown, Gary Peacock and the late composer/pianist Charlie Banacos) to create instruction that is personal and comprehensive. Individual lessons are available for Electric and Acoustic Bass, Music Theory, Composition and Improvisation for $70 per one hour session.
